Beautiful suspensions do not begin in the air. In this 6-hour workshop you learn to build clean and safe zuri lines and to present Ukete in a way that brings aesthetics and comfort together into one coherent picture, everything from standing posture to the finished suspension.

What to expect

A coherent picture emerges when technique, posture and well-being fit together. We work on all three levels:

Zuri lines: building suspension lines cleanly, safely and comprehensibly, guiding the load clearly and arranging the lines neatly
Presenting Ukete: shaping stance, posture, head, hands and feet deliberately so that the form looks expressive in the air
Transitions: building up and taking down as part of the picture, from standing into the air and back to the floor, calm, controlled and comfortable for Ukete
Comfort for Ukete: load distribution and small adjustments so that the beautiful form also feels good

What you take home

By the end of the day you build zuri lines that look clean and hold safely, and you have a feel for positioning Ukete so that aesthetics and comfort form one picture.

Who it is for

Rope couples at intermediate or advanced level who want to make their suspensions cleaner, safer and more aesthetic. The workshop is booked as a couple only.

Prerequisites

Confident command of at least one suspension-capable upper body tie (TK/Gote)
First experience with static suspensions, for example from the workshop “First Steps into Full Suspension”
Ukete is familiar with suspensions

Practical details

Group size: max. 5 couples
Teaching hours: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm (incl. breaks)
Location: WolfRope Juku Karlsruhe-Durlach
Clothing: Shibarite: comfortable sportswear; Ukete: comfortable, close-fitting sportswear (no underwire bra)
Rope: please bring your own, at least 7 ropes of 8 m (5 or 6 mm, hemp or jute)
Bring along: suitable safety tools
