Hashira at the highest level – intensity, complexity and expression. This theme weekend is aimed at experienced tying couples who have completed Hashira Basic and Hashira Intermediate and want to take their work at the post to a new level. Over two intensive teaching days, we deepen Hashira practice towards complexity, expression and emotional density.
What to expect
Building on the weight-bearing positions from Hashira Intermediate, we work with multi-layered fixations that position the body in increasingly demanding constellations at the Hashira. Technical precision and creative freedom merge: you will learn to vary classic Hashira techniques, combine them and transform them into your own forms of expression.
A particular focus lies on the dynamic between stillness and movement. As an immovable structure, the Hashira forms a unique counterpoint to the living body, and it is precisely in this tension that the potential of advanced Hashira work unfolds. We explore transitions between positions, controlled changes of position under load and the art of spanning a coherent arc across a longer session.
The emotional interplay between Ukete and Shibarite remains central throughout:
- How does the connection change as complexity increases?
- How does closeness remain tangible as the technical demands grow?
- How can a session at the Hashira be consciously shaped, from the first touch to the last rope?
Who it is for
