Several years ago, WolfRope discovered Shibari by chance — and the subtle interplay with rope has fascinated him ever since. He is moved by the aesthetics, the way rope highlights the beauty of his Ukete, and above all by the depth and intensity of communication through rope. His approach to tying is rooted in dialogue — a touch that reaches into the depths of the soul. This does not always mean gentle warmth; pain, in the form of Semenawa, can be a mutually desired expression of emotion.
WolfRope’s tying style is strongly shaped by the Yukimura and Osada Ryu traditions. His teachers, Michael Ropeknight (Yukimura Ryu) and Osada Steve (Osada Ryu), have been the defining influences on both his technique and mindset.
In early 2017 he met his partner Traumsaengerin and together they discovered the Naka style, which has become another cornerstone of his tying. Here, the allure lies in the delicate play with his partner’s boundaries, her boundless trust, the act of surrender within a session — the purest form of Kinbaku.
In addition to continuing his studies with his teachers in Japan, WolfRope is also deeply engaged in developing his own style — one that reflects his philosophical and psychological approach to rope.
As a passionate Shibarite and an equally dedicated teacher, he enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. Over the years he has developed a broad range of courses and workshops, which he teaches at the WolfRope Juku in Karlsruhe, as well as at dedicated events.
