The art of subtle pain. In this 6-hour workshop, based on techniques from the Osada Ryu, we dive deep into the ideological and philosophical approaches of Semenawa. Together we work out tying techniques that take Ukete on an intense but safe journey.

What to expect

The focus is not only on technique but also on the motivation and intention from which Shibarite and Ukete want to experience this particular form of play. We explore how both sides can find fulfilment in rope play and intensify the shared experience.

For every approach, we examine the possible risks in practice and develop strategies to minimise them. Safety has top priority in this workshop.

At the end of the day, you take home a set of ties and techniques that let you create intense yet safe rope play: Semenawa that challenges Ukete, leads them to their limits and creates an extraordinary experience.

Who it is for

Tying couples at intermediate or advanced level. Ukete should have an affinity for restrictive and demanding ties. The workshop can only be booked as a couple.

Prerequisites

Solid rope experience at intermediate level and confident rope handling
Confident command of at least one suspension-capable upper body tie (TK/Gote) and suspension experience
Recommended: participation in the workshop “Gentle to Intense” or comparable experience with demanding ties
Willingness on both sides to engage with restrictive and painful elements

Clothing: Shibarite: comfortable sportswear; Ukete: comfortable, close-fitting sportswear (no underwire bra)
Rope: please bring your own, at least 7 ropes of 8 m (5 or 6 mm, hemp or jute)
